I’ve been using the Chromium-based Edge browser for quite some time. Since it is built on Chromium, sites render quickly and accurately. I believe it is the fastest and safest browser out there. This version is also cross-platform so you can not only use it on your Windows devices, but also on your iOS, macOS and Android devices. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can download and install from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download/.

If you are concerned about security, and you should be, then you know at a minimum you should have a unique password for every website or application. The major roadblock for most of us, is the ability to remember unique passwords for the 100’s of applications we use. This is where the Microsoft Edge Password Generator comes into play. The feature generates a highly-secure password recommendation whenever you create or change an existing password. Better yet, passwords are stored in Edge and available on any device that you are logged into and synchronizing passwords! Say goodbye to sticky notes, 3rd party password managers and spreadsheets to keep track of all your passwords.

If you need to remove or review a password, you can go to Settings -> Profiles -> Passwords and see what passwords you have saved, show the password (see arrow at bottom of picture) and see the health of your saved passwords. You can also change settings on how passwords are generated, saved and synchronized.

If you are not using Microsoft Edge, try it today. Encourage all your employees to make it their default browser and try the Password Generator the next time they need to create or change a password. For additional details, see the documentation at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/features/password-generator/.
